I was really touched to get this personal email from Sadie so I asked her if I could share it with you all in case youโre experiencing the same skin problemsโฆ
Dear Laura,
Iโve been reading your weekly skin tips and I really like them but Iโm still waiting for the answer to my problem to come up so I thought id send you an email to see if you could help!
Iโve been suffering from dry skin for a few months now and itโs really starting to get me down. I donโt live in Colchester and itโs difficult for me to get to the salon as I wouldโve loved to come in for a free consultation.
My dry skin is making my foundation look horrible in fact my skin looks worse when Iโm wearing makeup!
Do you have any advice that would help me?
Thanks a lot,
Sadie
Hi Sadie,
Thank you for your email.
Iโm sorry to hear you suffering from dry skin problems! Dry skin can be frustrating and make you feel conscious I know!
Start of by getting yourself a good moisturiser. Iโve suffered from dry skin myself and I use the Power Hyaluronic range from Skeyndor which I love and always keeps my skin look plump and hydrated.
Next, try exfoliating your skin twice a week. This will remove any dead skin cells that are building up on the surface of your skin causing it to feel dry.
Make sure your drinking plenty of water and getting at least 8 hours sleep! โ Very important!
Try using a hydrating primer underneath your foundation, one of my colleagues in the boutique uses Laura Mercier primer and she really likes it! This will give your foundation a more even surface to be applied onto and you should get a better finish.
Check out my recent blog on creating your own homemadeย face mask! The avocado and honey mask is really hydrating. Try applying this mask once a week to your skin.

Keep this up for the next 3 weeks then let me know how youโre getting skins on!
I hope this helps,
Look forward to hearing from you
