Our Makeup brushes are an essential part of our makeup routine, but are you cleaning those beautiful brushes that we glide over our faces so frequently?
OurΒ makeup brushes are not our cheapest purchase and whilst using your makeup brushes, bits of dirt, oil and bacteria can get stuck in the bristles, leading to breakouts and blocked pores! Hereβs how to keep your brushes looking beautiful and clean.
1. Start by rinsing the bristles of your brushes under warm water to soften. (try to avoid the handle of the brush as this can loosen the glue over time)
2. Use Baby Shampoo to gently wash the bristles. Swirl your foamy brush on the palm of your hand allowing the product inside the brush to come out.
3. Wash the brush under warm water and repeat until all the product has come out and the water runs clear.
4. Using a cloth gently dry your brush, reshaping the bristles as you go.
5. Lay brushes on a towel and leave to dry. (They can take a while to dry so ideally wash them after youβve used them.)
You can also use a daily brush cleaner to spritz your brushes after each. This will keep them fresh in between washes!
