Many of us love the sun but it does come with the downfall of causing issues with our Make Up!
We’ve possibly all experienced shiny meltdowns so here’s some advice on how you can make it through a hot summers day and appear cool……
1. Less is more when it comes to the foundation
Pick a lightweight, sheer foundation, or go for a BB/CC cream that contains an added SPF such as Skeyndors CC Age Defence cream which contains SPF30
Avoid powder as skin should look dewy. If your skin is on the greasy side then use a primer under your foundation. We like Smashbox’s Photo Finish More Than Primer Blemish Control.
Apply a bronzer sparingly
2. Eyes that stay put
Keep eyeshadows, mascara and eyeliner to a minimum, no need for contouring and strobing under the suns powerful rays.
Using a Primer on the eyelids and a water resistant eye shadow if you really need to
Use a strong setting eyeliner if you can’t live without and Lord & Berry’s Smudgeproof Eyeliner we find sets and then stays put for 24 hours plus.
Then finish with a good Mascara that stays on the lashes such as MACS Opulash Optimum Black
3. Luscious Lips
Lipsticks can melt and gloop onto the lip so go for a stain such as Revlon Colourburst which comes in an array of colours.
Don’t forget lips burn too, so protect your pout with an SPF.
4. Be Savvy with your Make Up
Consider keeping your skincare and make-up in the fridge. A cooling moisturiser is perfect first thing in the morning and you should find your make-up will last longer.
5. A Healthy Glow or Sweaty Mess
When the temperature rises to the 20’s and 30’s (if were lucky) a healthy glow that’s taken time to achieve can soon become a sweaty mess!! Cleanse & Tone daily to prevent breakouts and keep your Skeyndor Aquatherm Thermal Water to hand to freshen up frequently throughout the day.
