How to create the Vintage Look!

Hi All,

Many of you have been asking us questions about our previous photo shoot with the gorgeous Chloe Merrigan and what products we used to achieve this classic ‘Vintage’ wedding look with a flawless finish and bold dramatic lips and eyes.

Firstly moisturise, moisturise, moisturise! No matter what your skin type your skin always needs hydrating, use a quality moisturiser to prepare the skin for makeup such as Clinique- Moisture surge.

Then apply a thin layer of primer (this can be optional- personally I think using primer helps to create a flawless complexion, especially for this particular look)

For the foundation I used MAC studio sculpt mixing NC20 AND NW15, once the foundation was applied I could then see what areas needed extra coverage.

Using Bobbi Brown concealer in porcelain, I covered any under eye circles and redness around the nose. the dusted lightly using Bare Minerals mineralize powder.

I used a cream based blusher also by MAC to give the illusion of color coming from within !

Line the upper eyes in MAC black track gel eyeliner.

Now for the lips!! Apply a little foundation or concealer onto the lips to take out the color. Firstly line the lips following the natural shape and make any adjustments to the natural shape at this point. Using a brush apply the lipstick, I chose bright bold Ruby Woo by MAC!

Lastly place some flirty dramatic lashes to complete the look… Voila!! As simple and easy as that!

For more on how to create my looks or indeed you would like this created on you then pop into the salon for a chat with me and I’ll work my magic on you
