How to achieve the Tonal/Nude Look

Hi Ladies!

We’ve had another request from our newest photo shoot with the beautiful model Emma Lawrence. Emma had flawlessly clear skin and bright blue eyes, a perfect canvas for any makeup artist. You ladies want to know how to achieve this tonal/nude wedding look. This look is really about creating the seamless textbook skin without any air brushing.

As always moistuirse and prep the skin with primer before applying any makeup. Emma had lovely skin so we used MAC studio fix NW25 very lightly all over. Then where needed, such as under eye area and around the nose we applied Bobbi Brown concealer in biscuit. Using a large powder brush gently sweep Laura Mercier mineral illuminating powder; this provides the skin with sheer coverage and a radiant soft-focus effect, a must for any look by imparting a natural, healthy glow.

The cheeks were gently contoured using MAC mineralize powder and bare minerals warmth. Using your ring finger softly press on some cream blusher onto the apples of the cheeks to add some colour onto the face. Then choose some nude/golden shadows for the eyes.  We applied Tete-ta–tint over the entire lid then blended Malt into the creases of the eye socket. Keep the eye makeup simple and natural. To finish off the eyes add some flirtly lashes to give lift and volume.

Keeping in mind the the look is very nude and ‘barely there’ for the lips stick to caramels, on Emma we used Rimmel Lasting finish in Fudge Brownie.

There you go… your look is completed!
